24 hours. 131 haircuts. More than $20,000 raised.

Zen Hair turned its Moray Place salon into a 24-hour cutathon for Otago Community Hospice.

Around 15 volunteer hairdressers kept four chairs moving through the day and night, with Dunedin locals filling the salon.

By the finish, they had completed 131 haircuts and raised more than $20,000 for local hospice care.

Made for the people doing the mahi.

Promo-X created the artwork and produced the event gear worn by Zen Hair’s volunteer crew.

The design carries the “24 Hours of Haircuts” identity across the front, recognises the cause and sponsors on the back, and adds a distinctive Zen mark on the sleeve.

Thread Project supplied the tees, with Epic Hoodies also produced for the salon owners.

The craft is in the details.

Decorating the Zen Hair gear meant treating every placement as part of one complete design. Promo-X positioned the “24 Hours of Haircuts” identity on the front, built the cause and sponsor story across the back, and added the distinctive Zen mark to the sleeve.

Each placement needed to sit cleanly on the garment and remain consistent across different sizes, tees and hoodies. It is careful, hands-on work that turns separate pieces of artwork into campaign gear that feels considered from every angle.
